Finished product for 's Kill Genji Contest

Been working on this pretty much since the day he announced it.... which was about a month ago. >.< I swear I chose some of the hardest things for myself here and did a bunch of new things I don't normally do with the style, because I wanted to keep the MANLINESS of Geoff's style. The more I look at this though it looks like some other styles I practiced/admire found their way in here.

ANYWAY, I wanted to think of a fun way to kill off this character so I used one of the first characters I created, Vamik. He's pretty much the son of Death which I realize is not all that new, but whatever. If you look closely he's not actually inflicting any damage on Genji... just stealing his soul... BTW.... the soul was pretty much the funnest part of this.... well that and the scythe.... and the poses.... Okay, I admit the whole damn thing was fun, but that was because it was one of the few drawings where the more I added the better it became (strange right?).

I knew the minute I finished drawing Genji that I'd never get it colored in time, especially since I was working on this AND my commission stuff (a multitasking clusterfuck I'll never attempt again). I DO plan to color this though once my commissions are all caught up and my plate is cleared. So look forward to that in the future even if I win or lose the contest.
